Glimpses of Craft Bazaar 2012 where various handicraft items, pottery, candles, diyas, wall hangings, rangoli, painted jute items, decorative mirrors and similar other goodies for the festive season made by the trainees of the Institute were put on sale. It is because of initiatives like these that many of our alumni are not just employed as teachers but have started their own pre-primary and primary schools in their localities and thus, not just made a career for themselves but many others as well. Like every year, the three toppers of session 2011-12, Suchika Verma (1st), Shweta Bhatia (2nd) and Sadaf Naaz (3rd) were given cash prize of Rs. 5000 each.

Craft Bazaar- 2010 was organized by S. Sen Nursery Teachers Training Institute on 31st October, 2010 in association with Pidilite Co., where various handicraft items, pottery, candles and other decorative items for the festive season made by the students were put on sale.

We believe that only proper education can ensure employment, and it is employment alone that can lead to financial independence of women, which is key to their empowerment. Therefore, in order to extend our vision further, we thought of taking our annual exhibition to the next level by organizing a Craft Bazaar which, apart from appreciation, could also fetch the girls, monetary benefits for their efforts. It was the first step for the trainees of our Institute towards self enterprise, leading to their financial independence and empowerment.

The presence and the words of wisdom of a personality like Padmashri Shri Irshad Mirza Ji, Chairman of Mirza Group, Our Chief Guest for the event, instilled great confidence in our students and inspired them to develop their entrepreneurial skills to enable them to become self dependent.

Shri Irshad Mirza Ji was so impressed by the quality of training and the efforts of the trainees that he announced an annual scholarship of Rs. 5000 each to the students who stand first, second and third in the annual examination of the Institute every year.

On October 31, 2009, the 25th Annual Exhibition of S. Sen Nursery Teachers Training Institute was held in association with Pidilite Co. (makers of Fevicol), where various handicraft items, pottery, glass paintings etc. made by the students were displayed.

The foremost aim of the institute is to provide a platform to budding teachers and hone their skills at minimal prices so that they prove to be assets to our society. We make sincere efforts to develop multiple skill-sets in the trainees, and this art and craft exhibition was an effort in that direction.
